On 27 April, marking the National Day of Missing Persons, families of missing persons gathered to honor their loved ones by laying flowers at the memorial dedicated to the Missing Persons.
This day is a reminder of the pain and uncertainty families endure, as well as their strength in the search for truth and justice. Families again urged competent institutions to accelerate efforts to clarify the fate of the missing persons, stressing that time does not lessen the need for answers.
We stand in solidarity with all families and reaffirm the importance of continued commitment, accountability, and action until every case is resolved. The pursuit of truth remains a moral obligation and a foundation for peace and reconciliation.
This activity is organized by the Missing Persons Resource Center (MPRC) through the programmatic activity “Facilitating the right to know and engaging mandate-holders” supported by UNMIK.
