Informative session in Graçanicë/Gračanica

In Graçanicë/Gračanica, an information session was held to discuss recent advancements in transitional justice, focusing on updates within the Transitional Justice Strategy and the amended Law on Missing Persons.

This session, the second of its kind, was particularly aimed at fostering inclusivity and accessibility for all communities, with special attention to historically underrepresented non majority areas. Family members of missing persons were provided an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and gain valuable insights into their rights, with the session serving as a platform to discuss the new legal amendments, which strengthen protections and support for the families of missing persons. Representatives from the Ministry of Justice led comprehensive discussions on these recent changes, emphasizing the importance of securing families’ rights to truth, justice, and reparation. The session aimed to build awareness and share critical resources to support affected families in Kosovo.

A well-attended information session brought together 19 participants, family members of missing persons, to discuss recent developments in transitional justice, with a primary focus on pension rights—a topic of high interest among attendees, many of whom expressed a strong desire to file complaints to secure their entitlements.
