We are proud to announce that today, MPRC is celebrating the 6th year since its establishment. Even though faced with numerous challenges, we have managed to achieve the following, with the help and support of our colleagues, and partners but especially with the support of the family members of missing persons:
• MPRC has strengthened cooperation between family members of missing persons from all ethnic backgrounds in Kosovo and Serbia;
• MPRC has increased awareness and understanding of the general public on the issue of missing persons;
• MPRC has reached out to about 2000 family members of missing persons from all ethnic backgrounds, in Kosovo and Serbia;
• MPRC has provided psycho-social treatment to family members of missing persons from all ethnic backgrounds, through different social events;
• MPRC has advocated for the rights of family members of missing persons in front of the authorities, regardless the ethnicity;
• MPRC has supported the integration of family members of missing persons into Kosovo society;
• MPRC has supported local authorities to improve their advocacy and investigative capacities related to the missing persons files;
• MPRC has made sure that the Missing Persons Issue has been treated as a humane and not a political matter;
• MPRC has integrated the youth of Kosovo into the process of dealing with the past, through different thematic and social activities.
