Today, we held the first of five psycho-social workshops with the family members of missing persons as part of the project “Promoting a human rights-based approach to transitional justice”. An experienced clinical psychologist and expert in the field of work with the family members of missing persons from the Institute of Forensic Medicine, Ms Fatmire Shala Kastrati has presented simple strategies of therapy methods that are easy to learn and implement in everyday life for helping families cope with difficulties they face on a daily basis. This is an effective way for families to learn to cope with the stressors associated with the loss and to manage symptoms with different techniques.
